Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic, student-centered Secondary ELA Teacher to join our dedicated team of educators in providing high-quality instruction in a supportive and engaging learning environment. The ideal candidate will hold or be eligible for Louisiana teacher certification and bring energy, creativity, and strong instructional practices to the classroom.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement engaging, standards-aligned lesson plans
  • Promote a classroom culture of high expectations and mutual respect
  • Utilize formative and summative assessments to inform instruction
  • Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
  • Communicate regularly with students, families, and colleagues
  • Participate in school-wide professional development and initiatives

    Required Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution
    • Valid Louisiana Teaching Certificate or eligibility to obtain one through the Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE)
    • Strong content knowledge in assigned subject area
    • Effective classroom management and communication skills
    • Commitment to student achievement and continuous improvement

      Preferred Qualifications
      • Experience teaching at the secondary level (grades 9–12)
      • Familiarity with Louisiana Student Standards and curriculum frameworks
      • Proficiency in educational technology tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Edgenuity, Clever)
      • Experience with data-driven instruction and MTSS/RTI practices
